Program and Instructional Manager
 

Reports to: Executive Director

Status: Full-Time, Hybrid

Location: KCMO metro area or Cambridge, MA

Position Overview:

 

The Program and Instructional Manager (PIM) is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of educational programs, curriculum, and training content, combining strategic program management with pedagogical expertise. They will work to educate and train young adults and other community stakeholders. In this role, the PIM may be responsible for creating and delivering training programs, developing instructional materials and resources. They will analyze learning needs and evaluate program effectiveness to improve teaching methods and learner outcomes. The PIM will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of programs, making recommendations for improvement, and supporting the roll-out of large-scale key strategic initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

​

  1. Program Management: Provide direct support to ensure the effective delivery of CornerStone's (CSE) financial health and wellness programs. Coordinating resources, managing budgets, and ensuring alignment with instructional design principles, assessments and evaluation methodologies.

  2. Curriculum Design: Evaluate and refine educational content and instructional strategies. Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, content and materials that support program goals. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure that training programs are up-to-date and relevant with the latest technology and digital tools.

  3. Instructional Leadership: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, utilizing various instructional methods and technologies. Work with stakeholders and strategic partners to understand the specific training needs and organizational goals. Develop and implement training programs, including the design and delivery of workshops, webinars, and other instructional materials.

  4. Data Analysis: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure maximum impact. Use metrics to assess the impact of instructional programs and driving improvements based on results. Analyze program data, compile evaluation information for research, publications, reports. Maintain accurate records and tracking systems for training programs and evaluations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, public administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in program management, education, or instructional design, preferably with youth or emerging adult populations.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience.

  • Proficiency in instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, UDL, Backward Design, MPI), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and curriculum mapping software.

  • Demonstrated understanding of learning theories and pedagogical approaches.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Familiarity with assessment and evaluation methods

  • Innovative mindset and ability to think creatively

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders

  • Capacity to adapt to changing organizational needs and demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong technical skills and social media savvy. The ability to work with the latest GenAI educational and organizational tools (e.g. Perplexity, Copilot, etc.)

  • Ability to travel and work evenings or weekends.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

 

Salary Range: $40,000 to $65,500 annually,

 

Commensurate with experience; Benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

Program & Operations Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director

Status: Part-Time, hybrid

Application deadline: March 9, 2026

Position Overview:

The Program & Operations Coordinator provides essential operational support for CSE’s core activities, including grant writing, fundraising, communications, and events. The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that CSE’s systems, workflows, and administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently. By maintaining strong systems and clear processes, this role helps ensure continuity and effectiveness across the organization, allowing the Executive Director to focus on strategy, leadership, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Grant Writing and Fundraising: Research, write, and submit foundation, corporate, and government grant proposals. Compile and prepare all required grant materials, including narratives, budgets, financial documents, and attachments. Coordinate with the Executive Director to gather accurate and timely information for proposals. Maintain grant calendars, submission deadlines, and reporting schedules. Draft & Submit (in collaboration with leadership) interim and final grant reports. Collaborate on the tracking of grant requirements, deliverables, and compliance needs. Maintain organized digital grant files and documentation. Support fundraising and donor engagement activities.

  2. Communications and Public Relations: Support the preparation of various communications, including monthly newsletters, regular social media posts, website articles, press releases, presentation decks, educational reports, and other CSE communications materials. Assist with regular website maintenance (WIX).

  3. Administration and Event Planning: Provide logistical support and play a key role in event planning efforts for key strategic initiatives. Manage occasional special projects, with a focus on improving internal workflows and operational efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of nonprofit development experience, with a strong emphasis on grant writing.

  • Demonstrated success writing foundation or government grant proposals.

  • Excellent verbal, writing, proofreading, and general communication skills.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.

  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with donors, stakeholders, board members, and colleagues.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Wix is a plus; training will be provided as needed.

  • Availability to attend occasional evening meetings and events.

  • Familiarity with donor databases/CRMs and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

 

Compensation & Benefits:

 

Contract Term: Up to 1 Year

 

Salary Range: $20,800-$37,400 annually, or $25 to $35 per hour, Schedule: 16-24 hours per week; commensurate with experience

 

Extension: This contract may be extended pending funding and organizational needs. Any extension or transition will be contingent upon available funding and organizational priorities.

Additional Information:

Option to be filled as a 1099 independent contractor position, not an employee role. As a contractor the candidate will not be eligible for employee benefits, paid time off, or participation in CSE’s benefit programs.

 

This position is funding-contingent; continuation, extension, or expansion of the role is dependent on organizational budget, funding outcomes, and programmatic priorities.
